Alnwick Sprint Tri – Sunday May 12th – Race Information

Weather forecast for next Sunday is currently promising if a little cool – sunny, 9 deg at 10am with a fresh NW breeze making it feel more like 6 deg! Recommended forecasts to look at are the Met Office local ones for Alnwick
https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/forecast/gcyg1pwdm#?date=2019-05-12 and for Boulmer (the furthest point on the cycle route)

Currently no changes planned to routes and format from last year (fingers crossed for no sudden roadworks etc. in the last week) which means the usual single loop bike route to the SE of Alnwick to Lesbury, then up the coast to Boulmer before turning inland (potentially into a headwind) to return to Alnwick via Longhougton & Denwick; and the same fast run route as used last year – 4 laps of the Duchess High School. Note the loop appears on Strava as a segment “The Duchess’ Lap” with last year’s winner currently topping the leaderboard, presumably during the event itself?!

Look forward to seeing you all on Sunday.
