My big target race for the season is UK Half-Ironman. Locally, I'm intending to enter Sun City and Hartlepool sprints and have another crack at Cleveland Steelman, to try and crack the 5-hour barrier. Then (if enthusiasm & finances allow ...), I may have a crack at the Monaco Half-Ironman (it would look pretty cool on my race CV).
It'd be good to know what other people are planning and what targets people have for the season.

My plans are to pretty much do all the target races plus I am going to the british sprint tri champs in:-
Strathclyde on May 20th and
Milton Keynes sprint tri on June 3rd
- thus stating my intentions to qualify for Hamburg '07/Vancouver '08 world champs. If anyone wants to come with me, I would be forever grateful.

I am entered for the UK half Ironman and fancy the Vitruvian (at Rutland) Middle distance Championships to close the season. In between I will do some regional events, particularly those I haven't been to before.
...I would also like to have a crack at Wakefield.
I was at the regional committee meeting last night, and it seems the duathlons/aquathlons won't count at all for the grand prix this year - keep your eye on Northern Pulse for confirmation of details.

I've entered the Peterlee Tri, Alnwick Tri and Hebburn Tri so far. I'm still a bit undecided on my 'target' for the year, but if things are going well, I might also enter Wakefield, Weardale and Sun City Srint. |

I've entered the Alnwick Tri and five of the Borders Triathlon Sprint Series (Galashiels, Hawick, Peebles, Kelso and Eyemouth). I'm also thinking about entering the Timex Women Only Triathlon in Windsor. That's about it for now.
I have now entered the One-Life Standard distance triathlon in September. This will be my first open water race.
I'm now entered for the Milton Keynes Sprint triathlon...what was I thinking!!!

I'm doing Alnwick Tri again, to see if I can knock some time off last year's fairly hefty 1:36.
Last year it seemed like a really good idea to go for the Cleveland Steelman this July, which seems like less of a good idea when viewed from only two months off. I'll admit to being fairly nervous about the whole thing, but I'm certainly not going to back out. I guess I'm expecting it to be a bit like giving birth; long, painful and drawnout, with an immense feeling of relief and satisfaction once it is over...

If I survive the steel-man I'm down for the Coastal run and Gullane on the two consequetive weekends, and am toying with the idea of the Firth of Forth Triathlon in September.
Finally I'm part of a team in the One-life team sprint race on 15th September.
